Porsche 964 Carrera RS — Sportsland SUGO / 2003

Onboard video from the Porsche 964 RS from when I switched tyres from Pirelli Corsa to Michelin Pilot Sport in '03. I am chasing a Ferrari F360 Challenge. Mentally I am pretty worked up and it is hard to watch as a video... sorry. First, the tyres: the big difference from the Corsa is that the behaviour in oversteer is very sharp. So after the excitement peaks there is a part around 3 minutes where it goes into oversteer, and compared with the Corsa there is no margin for opposite lock, I get caught by the snap back and the car gets badly out of shape. It reflects the state of my head as well, but I personally feel the tyre itself is sharp. Understeer and oversteer come out in extreme, unintended ways. Carry on like that and I would surely have hit something. The video is relatively close behind the Ferrari F360 Challenge, so I think you can also see how the Ferrari F360 Challenge itself behaves. The Ferrari really is a good car.
